I will confess, this is not my first foray into blogging, but I do hope it is my most consistent attempt.

When I decided to start a writing blog I thought a lot about what I would write about… writing. One think I have no intention of doing is sharing craft advice. There are plenty of writers, both qualified and not, sharing their gospel of good writing in blogs. If those are helpful for you I’m really glad, but I always find them to be either benignly misguided, excessively prescriptive, condescending, and outright hostile. I may share thoughts on my own style, but I will never make recommendation about yours.

Instead, I plan on sharing an account of my path to publication, excerpts and snippets, and occasional musings. To anyone actually reading: I’m so glad you’re here!
